Falling asleep to the sound of waves

I loved the kindness of the staff and the view from my room. All you can see from the bed is the endless blue of the ocean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a huge bed, a great desk and chair for working, and a beautiful terrace.

The Spa is a bit outdated and requires some renovation. It would be great to add a cold bucket shower.

Would highly recommend this beautiful hotel!!!

This is one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The room was very large with a spacious balcony and incredible sea view. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast had a very good variation and was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be returning.

For a 5 star hotel the breakfast could have been better with more choices . Some of the fruit selection like pineapple was on their last days .

What was the highlight of Sesimbra Oceanfront Hotel

High class hotel well placed for the beach, bars, restaurant and all Sesimbra has to offer.

The location of this hotel is superb, right on the beach with excelect views from the room. The facilities are superb with an infinity pool on the 6th floor and a smaller indoor pool on the ground floor. Reception is on the 6th floor and accessable from the road at the rear, or from the ground floor at the front, and up by lift. It is bright and welcoming with excelent and very smartly dressed staff, who speak excellent English. On the same floor and overlooking the infinity pool, is the bar, again staffed by very friendly staff who speak excellent English. There is a very good selection of spirits etc. as well as Super Bock on draft. They offer a very good, well priced menu including a selection of superb burgers which were delicious as well as toastes etc. On the 5th floor is the restuarant, a large and bright area which serves a buffet style breakfast as well as the evening meals. There is a sitting area outside both the bar and the restaurant for the better weather, we visited end of December and although the sun shone, there was a cold wind. The hotel is rated 5 stars, and I would love to offer the same if it was not for the comments below.

The hotel has a 5 star rating and deserves it if it was not for the cleanliness of the room. Although the towels and sheets were changed every day, the room did not appear to have been swept and no sign of floors being washed as there was fluff on the floor all through our stay. When we arrived there was soap smeared on the wall next to the hand basin in the toilet. After 4 days I washed it off myself! The toilet seat was loose and should have been seen and reported by the cleaner if she was doing her job properly! I should have told the cleaner I hear you say. We did attempt this but she did not speak Portuguese or English! One thing that would also help was a small list of instructions and advice in the room. The shower had to be run for a good 5 mts to get hot water, presumably due to the distance from the water tanks, as once it was through, th water was plentiful and hot at all times of the day or night. The room had very good air conditioning but no instuctions to opperate it. We spoke to the hotels' electrician who was sorting a lighting problem in the room, and he quickly explained how to set it and from then on it worked very well. There is also some confusion as to the coffee machine as to what is complimentary and what is chargeable. I suspect this is due to a tranlation problem on the minibar form. These very small things are what lets the hotel down in my opinion, sort that and I would happily give you 5 stars, as it stands I would only give 4.5. IT IS STILL A SUPERB HOTEL AND ONE WHICH I WOULD RECOMEND TO ANYONE AND WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN RETURNING AGAIN!

Sesimbra hotel gem, well worth a visit.

This was our last night of a 6 week holiday and exceeded our expectations. The room was big and a large terrace. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a made to order omelette. An easy walk to the beach, pool looked great but we did not swim. Would highly recommend and only a 40 minute drive to the airport.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I asked for a kettle in the room and they provided one immediately. . It is very well positioned. Right on the beach. Loved the balcony. A good breakfast . Lovely pool. Great gym

The hotel itself is beautiful as well as it's proximity to the beach. The staff is excellent and very attentive.

The restaurant and the bar do not have a lot of choices. The pool while nice is very small.

A fantastic hotel in the best location in Sesimbra. The staff at the desk were incredibly helpful, especially Nuno for helped with booking trips and giving great advice. The rooms are great, all with sea views and the beds are the most comfortable I've stayed in. Breakfast was fantastic and as the hotel is right on the beach, I highly recommend a morning walk on it. 5 Stars for me all day long!!!

Relaxing, pleasant, great option for beach vacation.

The hotel is in excellent location, beautiful view, and easy access. There is parking at the property. Healthy and fresh options for breakfast. The restaurant is good and the service excellent. SPA well placed and well equipped.

In order to reach the room I had to switch elevators. One elevator to the main floor, walk through a connection and take a second elevator. Not a terrible problem but uncomfortable when tired.

Overall a good experience.

The location was optimal. The room was very spacious, and the view was great. The staff was exceptionally good.

The beds weren't a queen size. It was 2 beds put together even though we booked as a couple . The constant sound of the waterfall from the pool overwhelmed the sound from the ocean. The breakfast, even though it was great, lacked variations of offered options. No lactose free cheese or yogurt.
